Maria Aasen-Svensrud (A): Can the Minister confirm that a track switch will be built to the siding towards the goods terminal as planned? In the reply, the Minister explains the following: - The government wants to make arrangements for more freight to go on the track. - For Kopstad freight terminal, in the agreement between the Norwegian Railway Directorate and Bane NOR on the construction of double track Nykirke-Barkåker, a simple branching from the double track south of the Tangentunnel to a possible future Kopstad freight terminal is provided for. - The regulatory plan for double track between Nykirke and Barkåker, adopted in Horten, Tønsberg and Re municipalities in June 2018, contains plans and provisions for such a simple branching from the north. - Bane NOR is prepared to build a branch, as stipulated in the aforementioned agreement with the Norwegian Railway Directorate, unless otherwise decided.
