At Kopstad in Horten municipality, there are plans to help move goods from road to rail. The project is well planned and could become a significant business in Horten municipality. - We are not going to build just a freight terminal for containers. At Kopstad, we will also have a workshop and service facility for trains and parking facilities, says Eiken. Here is more about the project in Teknisk Ukeblad. The illustrations have been developed by Multiconsult. NHO Vestfold and Telemark support the plans of Oslofjord Logistikk. Political adviser Hege Pflug says that they have been in contact with their member companies about the terminal plans. - The feedback is clear, they want more freight on the track. In our submissions to the National Transport Plan, we have expressed a desire for terminals both at Kopstad and Herøya. It will ease the transition from road to track, says Pflug to Teknisk Ukeblad. The article from Teknisk Ukeblad can be read here (Norwegian text only).
